Reclining Cobbler

Set Up:

Rectangular blanket supporting length of spine, additional blanket under head. Either rolled blanket over feet & tucked under legs or strap binding feet together.

Purpose Of The Pose:

This is one of the most important poses in the restorative series. Opens chest, abdominals, pelvis; allows for deep opening with safety & support.
Helps with high BP, menstruation, menopause.

Sensory Guidance:

Psychologically this allows a deep opening to the core of our bodies with safety & support.
In the Yoga Sutras Patanjali writes about the great golden womb of the universe and that the entire universe is held with that womb. While you’re lying in this pose be reminded of this primordial place of complete rest and ultimate relaxation.
Experience a feeling of floating.
